DESCRIPTION:Cycle and run in the picturesque Overberg area with views of the Klein Swartberg Mountains conveniently located only an hour’s drive from Cape Town.  The event now in its ninth consecutive year takes place on Sunday the 19th of August 2018 at The Caledon Casino\, Hotel\, Spa\, and Entertainment. \nBoth mountain bike and trail running events offer routes for amateurs to advanced mountain bikers/trail runners so bring the whole family for a fun-filled weekend! The Overberg region with its great scenery\, diverse landscape and quiet dirt roads is fast-becoming a favorite destination for outdoor enthusiasts. \nFor those looking for a getaway spend the weekend at the Caledon Casino\, Hotel & Spa with an array of activities from great dining to gaming and after a day of running or cycling enjoy the restorative powers of the hot springs at the hotel spa. \nSo\, bring your family and friends and participate in this great outdoor adventure experience. \nDATE: Sunday\, 19 August 2018 \nVENUE: The Caledon Casino\, Hotel\, Spa and Entertainment\, Caledon\, Overberg \nDISTANCES: 15km \nCOST: 15km – R140 \nLate entries will be taken at registration at an additional fee \nTiming by Amarider Trail Tag – available for rent (R20) or to buy (R100). \nSTART TIMES: 15km – 09h30 \nREGISTRATION: \nSunday\, 19 August\n07H00 – 09H15 Registration @Caledon Hotel – conference room \nENTER ONLINE: \ncredit card and EFT payments accepted \nENTER ONLINE (login OR create a profile/register) \nPayments must be received when pre-entries close\, otherwise\, your entry will be subsequently canceled. \nGENERAL INFO: Pre-entries receive a discount and something extra at registration. Late entries will be available at registration on the morning of the event. A refreshment station on both routes with Powerade\, fruit & nuts will keep runners hydrated and all finishers will receive a medal & a drink at the finish. Make sure you stay for the prize giving and the lucky draw!  Participants are welcome to take a dip or shower in the Spa. Lots of entertainment at the Casino with surprise draw\, bar\, meal stalls and more. \nROUTE INFO: \n15km – Elevation: 203m\nThis loop has a bit of everything and is always well received by the beginners and youngsters. The climb up towards the finish near the finish requires a bit of energy so make sure you refuel at the water station.
