SUMMARY:9 to 5 MTB & Trail Run Team Relay
DESCRIPTION:Fun Mountain Bike team relay in mid-June relay adds a trail run option near Stellenbosch \nThe Nine-to-Five Team Relay event will take place from Dirtopia’s home base at Delvera farm on Sunday 17 June 2018.  The event was first held in 2006 and is based on the 24hour concept which creates a fun atmosphere at the start/finish. Mountain bikers can ride a 10km lap for the full 8 hours (or not) to see how many laps they can do in the day\, as part of a team or as a solo rider. \nEntry Fee\nA very affordable entry fee of only R150 per person makes this the perfect event to do some training while socializing with friends and family at this beautiful Winelands venue. This year\, a separate 5km route will be marked for trail runners that would also like to run between vineyards and on the singletrack trails. \nCategories & Prizes\n\nVarious categories for teams of four and teams of two with prizes to the top three in each category including the solo male & female riders & runners.\nIt is not necessary for team members to ride in sequence and one team member can do as many consecutive laps as they like.\nThere should however NOT be more than a four-lap difference between the rider with the most laps and the rider with the least number of laps at the end of the event.\n\nAbout the Route\nThe route is easy enough for riders across all levels and fast laps will ensure lots of activity in the transition area. There is a lot of entertainment on the farm for kids like go-karts\, games & soft play toys to name a few. Dirtopia Café will be open for breakfast\, lunch\, tapas\, coffee\, and even cold beers.  Dirtopia bike shop & Trail Centre has spares\, clothing\, and energy snacks & drinks. \nAt the start/finish will be Powerade for the riders. Prizes to be won from sponsors like Giant\, Cape Storm\, Falke and wine of the Simonsberg farms.
