Super Single Vineyards is a boutique South African winemaking collective founded by Daniel de Waal, specializing in terroir?driven, single?vineyard wines crafted in small, limited batches.
They produce two distinct ranges: Pella Wines, made from unique Stellenbosch sites (including varietals like Chenin Blanc, Cinsault, Merlot, Malbec, Syrah, Pinotage, Nebbiolo, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc), and Mount Sutherland, sourced from one of Africa’s highest?altitude vineyards near Sutherland (planted in 2004 at ~1?500?m).
Visitors to the cozy tasting room are greeted by lavender-scented air and intimate tastings where each wine’s origin story and expressive character shine. Highlights include the iconic Kanniedood Chenin Blanc, Gewürztraminer-style Riesling, smoky high?altitude Syrah, and the bold, structured Pella Granietbult Cabernet blend—all produced in 400–900 bottle runs using a “garagiste” approach that emphasizes quality and terroir authenticity
