Sijnn is a monopole estate in the small Malgas Ward (Cape South Coast), founded in 2000 by David Trafford and Simon Farr.
It boasts bush vines planted on iron-rich riverstone and shale soils less than 15 km from the ocean, producing award-winning cool-climate whites and bold Mediterranean reds.
Winemaker Charla Bosman (joined 2014; now succeeded by Kruger Theunissen) crafts blends and single varietal bottlings—Chenin, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Touriga, Trincadeira, Verdelho, Roussanne, and more—using organic practices, native ferments, minimal intervention, and barrel age.
The property garnered acclaim with scores of 90+ from Tim Atkin, Jancis Robinson MW, and others.
