Riebeek Valley Wine Co., established in 1941, is one of the oldest true Wine of Origin Swartland producers. Nestled at the foot of the Kasteelberg in Riebeek Kasteel, this cooperative sources fruit from local growers—many 3rd and 4th generation—to produce an authentic expression of Swartland terroir.
Known as the “Guardians of the Swartland,” they champion sustainability and ethical farming, participating in initiatives like IPW, WIETA, WWF-BWI, and the Old Vine Project.
Their portfolio features flagship Kasteelberg wines, experimental RAAR and boutique small-batch labels, and distinctive sparkling styles such as the Pieter Cruythoff MCC.
Visitors engage with rich heritage, discovery of second labels, and thoughtful wine education in a beautifully appointed tasting emporium in Short Street.
