Org?de?Rac, founded in 2000 by Nico Bacon, is among South Africa’s first fully certified organic wine farms and one of only 18 in the country.
Situated off the N7 near Piketberg under the Piketberg Mountains, the estate farm features south-facing bush vines on granite, slate, and iron-rich soils, influenced by cool Atlantic breezes about 50?km away.
Winemaker Lizelle Gerber has led the cellar since 2021.
They produce organic wines such as Chenin, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet, Merlot, Verdelho, Roussanne, MCC, and fortified styles, along with grappa and port.
Signature experiences include wine tastings, chocolate pairings, oyster & MCC pairings, olive oil tastings, cellar and vineyard tours, picnic packages, and outdoor seating with panoramic views.
