Oneiric Wine Estate is a boutique, family-run winery nestled in the cool-climate Elgin Valley within the Kogelberg Biosphere. Founded in 2007 by Matt Pascall and his daughter Shan, the estate crafts terroir-driven wines celebrated for their balance, silky tannins, and lingering finishes.
The striking copper-themed labels—each featuring a different copper derivative—pay homage to Matt’s mining heritage, with design contributions from Shan’s family. Since launching to rave reviews at WineX Cape Town in 2012, Oneiric has grown its portfolio, including the everyday Oh! Range, the barrel-matured Oneiric Range, the premium First Quantum Reserve, and the limited-release Noble Late Harvest.
Tucked amid trout dams, apple orchards, and vineyards, the estate offers intimate tastings in its farm setting, often enhanced by occasional lunches and private events in the tank cellar. The brand is known as a “hidden gem” praised for its architecture, ambiance, and world-class Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.
