Founded in 2003 by the Rangaka family, M’hudi Wines is located in Koelenhof, Stellenbosch, and holds the distinction of being the first Black?owned wine estate in post-apartheid South Africa. With a name meaning “harvester” in Setswana, the brand embodies resilience, family values, and excellence in wine quality.
Their wines, overseen by winemaker Albertus Louw, focus on both premium and approachable styles, ranging from Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot to Shiraz and Pinotage, with a focus on coastal microclimates and sandstone-clay soils for freshness and depth.
M’hudi’s wines have also reached international audiences, with approximately 30?% of production exported globally.
