Lammershoek—meaning “lambs’ corner”—is a historic, family-feel estate dating back to 1718. Situated in the rugged Aprilskloof Valley beneath the Paardeberg, the farm was revived in 2013 by German winemaker-owners Andreas and Sonja Abold, along with partners including ex-footballer Franz Beckenbauer.
Spanning around 180?ha, of which ~60?ha are planted to unirrigated, organically farmed bush vines (Syrah, Chenin Blanc, Grenache, Pinotage, Marsanne and more), the estate follows minimal?intervention, natural-winemaking principles—no additives beyond the essentials.
Visitors are drawn to its serene landscapes of fynbos, old vineyards, and rolling granite slopes, along with a hands-on tasting experience that channels the spirit of the Swartland.
