Boekenhoutskloof Winery, established in 1776, is one of South Africa’s most esteemed wine estates, nestled in the picturesque Franschhoek Valley.
The name “Boekenhoutskloof,” meaning “ravine of the Boekenhout,” pays homage to the indigenous Cape Beech trees that populate the area. In 1993, the estate underwent revitalization under the guidance of winemaker Marc Kent, who introduced a new vineyard planting program and modern winemaking techniques.
Today, Boekenhoutskloof is renowned for its commitment to quality and sustainability, producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region.
