Rainbow’s End Wine Estate is a boutique, family-owned red-wine specialist situated on high-lying slopes of the Banghoek Valley (up to 540?m above sea level), backed by the Jonkershoek Mountains.
Founded by Jacques Malan in 1978, with first vines planted in 2000 and the maiden vintage in 2002, the estate is famed for elegant, terroir-driven wines such as Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Under the stewardship of viticulturist François Malan and winemaker Anton Malan, each vintage is treated as a unique expression of the season, combining hand harvesting, open?fermentation, basket pressing, and 12?month maturation in small French oak barrels to produce wines of depth, personality, and notable aging potential.
Tastings are hosted in a stylish, cellar?door venue with panoramic views and generous cheese/charcuterie platters. Rainbow’s End is recognized as one of Stellenbosch’s iconic boutique estates for fine red wine.
